In August 2025, Birros HMG proudly launched full operations at the Sophia Quarry. This expansion marks a new chapter in our tradition of operational excellence. Located at an altitude of 1,100 m in Drama region of Northern Greece, this site serves as the primary source for our exclusive Sophia Collection.

An Industrial Milestone Our team established this site in record time. We progressed from the initial survey in February 2025 to fully operational extraction by August. Through meticulous geological evaluation and streamlined planning, every phase was executed with precision and efficiency, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum resource utilization.

Consequently, the site features a sophisticated structure designed for optimal extraction, targeting an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons.

The Sophia Collection – Luminous white surface, intricate veins

The Sophia Quarry is home to a collection that redefines the white marble landscape. Featuring a radiant, luminous background, the Sophia Collection offers a refined visual identity characterized by structured direction and exceptional durability.

Sophia’s aesthetic language meets the demands of contemporary design while remaining rooted in the timeless character of Greek marble. We have designed a multi-phase launch strategy to unveil each variety within the collection, all in distinct creative progression, ensuring visual diversity while maintaining the collection coherence.

Aura (Debut Series): Emphasizes radiance and directional movement. Its intricately diagonal veins create a pattern of direction and flow, establishing a dynamic contemporary presence.

Myra Series: Myra introduces dense, clustered veining that forms pronounced, dramatic patterns. It offers strong visual contrast and expressive intensity, providing poise, depth, and a layered visual weight to sophisticated interiors.

Each subsequent series explores a distinct creative progression. This ensures visual diversity for varied applications while maintaining total collection coherence.

As a primary producer, we guarantee a consistent supply of premium white marble for global projects.
