The Pirgon Quarry spans 348 acres and boasts an annual production capacity of 140.000 tons of marble blocks. With 26 terraces and 20km of internal roads, it is meticulously designed for optimal mining and quarrying processes, ensuring accessibility for labor and machinery alike. Pirgon Quarry is the largest quarry of white marble in Greece and one of the largest worldwide.
The quarry operates, in compliance with all quarrying regulations and necessary environmental studies, while the area is gradually restored at points where the marble deposit is exhausted. The Group implements a safety policy in line with applicable legislation.
